Hello teachers, here’s some information for you if you’d like me to visit your school.

British system Infants and Juniors

International/American system Pre-School through 5th Grade

Maximum size of group: year group for poetry performance, individual classes for workshops, please.

Poetry performance
A half hour poetry performance, incorporating dressing up and props, poems appropriate to year group or class.

Poetry workshop
Year 2/ First Grade and above.

Best combined with shortened poetry performance, as a 45 min to 1 hour session. Poetry's not brain surgery - no one gets hurt if you get it wrong!

Everyone can have fun having a go - and it doesn't have to rhyme.

Picture Book workshop
20 - 30 min – 1 hour session depending on age group.

For the youngest: sharing a story/ making up stories.

From Year 2/ First Grade: writing a picture book.
